This beautifully, hand-carved White Chin Katsina is sculpted by Hopi artist, Harold Nevayaktewa. In Hopi tradition, White Chin was responsible to watch over the whitewash on the inside and outside of homes.
Kachina Dolls are very sacred to the Hopi and many other Native American cultures. Each Doll represents immortal spirit beings that bring rain, messages, and control nature. They are given to their children to teach about Kachinas.
