This beautifully, hand-carved Early Morning Singer is sculpted by Hopi artist, Virgil Long. In Hopi tradition, the Singer Katsina appears at dawn during the Bean dance and announces news.
Kachina Dolls are very sacred to the Hopi and many other Native American cultures. Each Doll represents immortal spirit beings that bring rain, messages, and control nature. They are given to their children to teach about Kachinas.
